A Few Short Thoughts...Quotes

It's been a busy, productive day.  I want to leave you with a couple of thoughts as this day ends and another begins.  I hope you enjoy them.

The following quotes are from one of my all time favorite Poetry & Quote books... Something to Live By

I'll tell you more about this amazing book in a future post.

"A good memory test; try to remember the things you worried about last week."

"So live that you wouldn't be afraid to sell the family parrot to the town gossip."

"Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall."

"A laugh is just like music,
It lingers in the heart,
And where its melody is heard,
The ills of life depart."

Hope today was a good day for you and that your tomorrow is filled with laughter.  Thanks for visiting!  Reia

Love the one about rising each time we fall. A kid in my soccer practice kept failing to score a goal during one of our games, and thus, couldn't take over for the goalkeeper as he wanted to.

Each time he tried, he wavered between anger and sadness. He never did get it, and although I was tempted to tell the goalkeeper to let him score, I didn't.

I told him the next time we play this, he'll try that much harder - and when he does score, it'll be that much sweeter.

Thanks for the reminder.

Thanks for your comment. Sometimes it just doesn't go the way we want it to and giving up could be easy. I'm thankful he had someone like you to encourage him. I know it made a difference. Reia
