Santa Claus, Georgia

Recently I took Mama for a Saturday drive.  We decided to check out "Santa Claus, Georgia".  It's located near Vidalia, Georgia (yep, the home of the Viadalia Onion but that's another post).

So we visited Santa Claus, GA & it was a couple of blocks of wonderful!

My absolute favorite part of visiting Santa Claus, GA was "Santa's Mail" box.

I really must write a letter to Santa and post it here!

Thanks for visiting!  Reia

Adriana from http://www.adrianairis.com/. Thanks for your comment.

It reminds me more of a subdivision but it is a town apparently (zip code and all). It's a couple of blocks with streets named - December Dr., Santa St., Reindeer St., Candy Cane St., Dasher St., Rudolph Way, etc. (It's a couple of miles south of Lyons.)

I think it would be a great picture opportunity near that mailbox.

This Busy Life from www.thisbusylife.com - Thanks for your comment. It was a fun road trip. Where we live, we can go east to Savannah or west to some very interesting rural areas.

We chose to go west that day and it was a fun trip through cotton fields, pecan farms, onions fields starting to sprout, etc.

I want to do it again when the leaves are on the trees because I know there are plenty of peach trees in that area also. :-)

It was just a few blocks but it was unique as well as fun to say we went there.

Frugal in WV from http://wvfrugal-wvsaver.blogspot.com/ The mail box was my favorite also.

I don't know if WV is like parts of Georgia, but you can feel like you're in a different country by going a few miles west from where we are.

We still have a lot of rural farmland. It doesn't take much driving to have entered a different dimension from "home".

That is so cool, I never knew there was a town called Santa Claus :)

Love the Santa's Mail box, I will have to take a trip there. We are in NJ so it isn't a day trip tho lol!

Katie from http://lifeinthesimpleln.com/ - I know, right? I thought the same thing. We don't have a lot around us but we've got Santa Claus, Georgia. Life is so funny to me sometimes.

Hey, I loved your post about White Chocolate. It was informative and funny also. Nice job!

Dawn from http://www.dawnconklin.com/ - Apparently there's also a Santa Claus, Indiana and Santa Claus, Arizona. Who knew - I know I didn't.

You're right it's definitely not a day trip. :-)

Wow, what a nice adventure. I will have to tell my good friend about this place since he lives in Georgia and have three small children.

It's just a couple of blocks but it was fun to see the street names and I believe it would make a good photo opportunity.

It was a fun drive to make. Thanks for stopping by! Reia

Annmarie Pipa from http://raisingahappyfamily-momof8.blogspot.com/ - that's what I thought too. I think every state should have a town named Santa Claus. It was just fun & whimsical to say "Let's go to Santa Claus, GA today." Even more fun to actually make the short trip. Thanks for your comment. Reia
